Experience one of the most exciting downhill adventures in Harghita! The mountaincart is a unique three-wheeled vehicle that lets you enjoy the thrill of sledding and downhill riding all year round – even without snow.

The tour starts from the Fáradt Bakancs Adventure Base in Ivó and follows one of the longest mountaincart tracks in Transylvania.

What is a Mountaincart?
A mountaincart is a specially designed ultra-safe downhill vehicle featuring:

3 stable wheels
ergonomic seating
no pedals
manual braking system
simply sit back, control your speed and enjoy the ride

The Track & Experience
approx. 10 km long track
average slope of 10%
nearly 1000 meters elevation difference
80% asphalt and 20% forest gravel road
6 spectacular hairpin turns
a perfect combination of speed, nature and adrenaline

How Does the Program Work?
The experience begins with a safety briefing, followed by:

off-road vehicle transport to the starting point
protective helmets provided
short practice session
then the real downhill adventure begins
throughout the tour, participants are accompanied by an experienced guide

Who Can Participate?
recommended from 12 years old (above 135 cm)
smaller children may ride together with parents
maximum load: 120 kg (parent + child combined)
ideal for families, groups of friends and adventure seekers

Support Vehicle
The tour is accompanied by an off-road support vehicle:

luggage and extra clothing can be transported
accompanying persons may also join
participation for companions is free of charge
