Snowshoeing is one of the easiest and most enjoyable ways to explore winter landscapes and reach remote areas, even in deep snow. We guide you through fragrant pine forests to some of our favorite peaceful mountain peaks.

Our tours are fully guided, with a wide range of routes suitable for all ages and fitness levels. We provide snowshoes, gaiters, and trekking poles – you just need proper winter clothing and boots, and you're ready for the adventure!

Kossuth Cliff:
This beginner-friendly snowshoe tour is ideal for those looking for an easy hike of around 5–6 km, including gentle ascents and descents. The route leads to the Kossuth Cliff (1399 m), offering stunning panoramic views.

Kossuth Cliff is one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the Harghita Bai ski area, located just a few kilometers from the center. From the top, you can enjoy breathtaking views over the Harghita Mountains.

Wildlife Tracking Tour:
Are you interested in the nature and wildlife of the Harghita Mountains? Would you like to learn more about the animals living in the forest, their habits, and their behavior?

Join us and discover animal tracks in the fresh snow! Even the most cautious wildlife leaves traces behind in the winter landscape while searching for food.

During the tour, Norbert Moraru – a nature and wildlife expert – will help you identify animal tracks and introduce you to the fascinating world of wildlife tracking.

The route, distance, and difficulty level are customized based on the group’s preferences and fitness level.

Harghita Classic:
The Harghita Classic route showcases the most popular attractions of Madaras Harghita, leading from the spectacular Szökő Waterfall to the highest peak of the mountain.

One of the main highlights is the Madaras Harghita Peak, the highest point of the Harghita mountain range. Known as the “sacred mountain of the Székely people,” it offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. In clear weather, even the Southern Carpathians can be seen.

The springs emerging from the southern slopes of Madaras Harghita flow slowly, saturating the soil and forming unique peat bog habitats. These areas are home to several relic species from the Ice Age, many of which are listed as protected species. Where the slope becomes steeper, the water reappears and forms the Szökő Waterfall.
