Our tours:

Frozen waterfall (skitouring for beginners):

This is our ski touring demo tour for beginners, where you can try this extraordinary sport even if you've never skied before. It's an easy walk without level differences, big ascents or descents.

The spring waters coming from the southern side of Harghita Madaras are slowly running down and soaking up the soil, creating a special mire-peat habitat. A significant number of species remained from ice age are living in them. Their survival was supported by the cool climate of the Harghita Mountains. Most of them are introduced on the "red list" of protected plants. Where the hillside descends significantly, the water reappears and creates a waterfall known as the Szökő Waterfall.

Duration: 3-4 hours
Starting point: Harghita Madaras
Distance: 4,5 km
Elevation: 170 m
Difficulty: beginner

Hargita Classic:

Hargita Classic route is presenting the most popular attractions of Madarasi Hargita, leading you from the spectacular Szökő Waterfall to the highest peak of the mountain.

One of the main destinations of the tour is the highest point of the Harghita mountain range, the Madarasi Hargita peak. The peak called ‘the Székelys's holy mountain' offers a beautiful view of surrounding mountains. In clear weather almost the entire line of the Southern Carpathians can be seen.

Hidden Rákosi:

The Rákosi Peak is one of the most beautiful peaks of Hargita Region, but at the same time the hardest to reach. The reason is that there is no marked hiking trail and even a proper footpath leading up to the rocky roof.

From Madarasi Hargita we head towards Harghita Bai, going through the alpine mire called Saté, which is one of the most beautiful and best preserved peat bogs in Szeklerland. After a slight ascent we reach the untouched pine forest. We climb up in a dense pine wood while we reach a steep rock wall. In good weather, the great view from the top of this rewards us for every effort.
